Michael Ballack will not be joining the Chelsea Football Club squad for the first week of the tour to the United States. It has been decided by all parties that he will continue with rehabilitation on the ankle surgery he had last week in Europe. A decision will be taken later, depending on progress, about whether he will join the squad for the latter part of the tour.
